Upcoming:
Semester 1 Meditation Retreat Dates
We have scheduled in the retreat dates for Semester 1. They are held on the second week of each month. The dates include Fridays, referring to a Friday evening start, which will include a casual dinner at about 6pm before easing into retreat discipline.
Retreats finish at about 9pm on the Sunday or Monday night, depending on the month.
You can attend part of a retreat if you have other commitments.
Please confirm attendance as the retreats come closer, that way we can properly prepare food and sleeping quarters. Please note that the only pre-requisite is that attendees have listened to a full 6-part introductory series of Dharma talks taught by Sifu Tim. They can be found in the ‘Download’ Section of the website.

April: Friday 6th – Monday 9th (Easter Weekend).
May: Friday 11th – Sunday 13th
June: Friday 8th – Monday 11th (Queen’s Birthday Weekend).

Alchemy Teachings - March 2012
Sifu Tim will be giving some teachings on Western and Eastern Alchemy, both at introductory and intermediate levels in March. He has requested that those interested in attending these teachings read George Eliot’s Silas Marner, a piece of Western literature that touches on the topic. The talks given will be referencing this book and it is necessary to read it for the talks to make full sense (it is only 200 pages long). This book can be read online or freely downloaded through the links below. As usual, the intermediate teachings on this topic will require attendees to have attended or listened to a full 6-part series of introductory Dharma talks given by Sifu Tim (found in the ‘download’ section of our website). Exact dates for these teachings have not been set yet.

Wing Chun/ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Lessons
We have organized a combination of Wing Chun and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lessons with a local teacher named Ralf. He has taught Wing Chun as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for quite some time, and has been a paramedic in the past. We have chosen Ralf to teach the classes because of his attitude in teaching and characteristics as a person. There are many Wing Chun teachers around Melbourne, however not all are equal. A number of them have been known to be involved in rather dubious activities. We have taken care to choose an adept and suitable teacher with a background demonstrating a positive contribution to society. There will be a fee of $5 per lesson and any extra donation as a sign of gratitude toward the guest teacher is welcomed. Wing Chun classes are currently running and are still accepting anyone who wants to join in.
In the second half of the year we will commence Brazilian Jiu-Jitzu. If you are interested come along to the class. Keep in contact with us if you are unsure of the time, place, break periods, etc.
Classes will be on Tuesdays, 6.30pm, at the RMIT Student Union Booking Room (Building 8, Level 3, Room 18)
